【SUGAR CANE】 Bottom/14oz 50's Zipper Fly Jeans/ SC42955A, George Town

Released in the mid-1950s as fashion wear rather than workwear, targeting the Eastern U.S. market, this zipper fly model.
By the mid-1960s, shrink-resistant denim models appeared, but at this time, it still used raw, un-shrink-treated fabric like the button fly models.
Characteristics of this era include unusually short, thick-gauge side seams and a back center belt loop offset to the left to avoid thicker fabric, improving production efficiency and saving thread.
For the belt loop, we've faithfully reproduced the vintage detail, even using a lighter ounce denim than the main body.
The silhouette is a regular straight cut, close to the 1947 model. The denim fabric is based on vintage, but the yarn and dyeing were developed from scratch specifically for this model, resulting in a different texture than the 1947 model.
The zipper is a brass pin-lock type GRIPPER ZIPPER. The cotton tape ages well, just like the denim.
